[review] Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer "I'm a Star" 660

Genau diese Farbe hatte ich gesucht. Und der Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer "I'm a Star" 660 war der einzige, den ich finden konnte. Und nun ja, ein zweischneidiges Schwert.
Die eine Seite ist die Farbe, der Farbton ist unglaublich, wunderschön und wirklich genau das was ich wollte.
Der Lack ist metallic, eine Art Moosgrün-Braun-Gold.
Auch Auftrag und Deckkraft fand ich sehr gut.

 Direkt nach dem Lackieren: In "echt" ist die Farbe noch einen Tick grüner, fast moosgrün

Aaaaber: Obwohl ich die erste Schicht über nacht (!) habe trocknen lassen, hat das Aushärten beider Schichten ewig gedauert. Daher waren dann auch ein paar ganz kleine Dellen und ein Kratzer auf drei, vier Nägeln. Nicht gut.
Und ein noch größeres Manko: Trotz Base und Top Coat: Nach nur einem Tag (nicht mal 24 Stunden) ist der Lack an allen Nägeln vorne abgerieben und an einem Nagel ist ein richtiges Loch im Lack. Nicht gut.

Das ist sehr schade, denn die Farbe ist echt Hammer, aber bei dem Gezeter beim Auftragen und der anschließenden mangelnden Haltbarkeit kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass ich das oft mache.

Das war mein erster Catrice-Lack. Sind die alle so?!

[mini-haul] Jojobaoil, Aroma-Oil, Yes TO (Mini Tomato Treats)

So, because I needed some Jojoba-Oil I also got other stuff. ;-)
Here we go:

This is pure Jojoba-Oil. I used to use this stuff for basically everyhing quite a lot of time, but some day my last bottle was nearly empty and with all the new special products for skin and hair I bought I somehow completely forgot about my jojoba. And I really loved this stuff. So I had to get a fresh bottle.
I don't know yet, how well this works, I used to have one from a British company, but it looks good and smells good (hardly at all, but it has a lovely nutty smell).
I used to use it on my skin, like really dry spots, massaged it on my fingers and nails and also sometimes rubbed it into dry hair ends.

Here's the one letdown out of the three, as far as I can tell:

I wanted to get a new peppermint-eucalyptus oil pen to apply on my temples to prevent headaches etc.
Yeah, well. I couldn't find the one I had used before (by Primavera) anymore, so today I finally decided to settle for another one. Bad mistake. This one contains a very disgusting perfume oil, too. So it does not smell like peppermint/eucalyptus, but really bad like a cheap perfume from the late 60s in Eastern Europe. Which is not helping with an on coming headache at all. And it also does not cool the temples a bit (probably because there's not enough peppermintoil in it.)
Too bad. Well, I'll have to see if I maybe can order my old one online.

And here comes the surprise treat of today:

I saw this by chance on my way to the cash desk (yep, trapped...) and couldn't resist, because I do ♥ TOMATOES!
I haven't tried any of those little bottles yet, but it contains a hydrating facial lotion, a facial mask, and a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Aside from the tomatoes it's based on African Red Tea and Sea Salt, which sounds great. So I'm really looking forward to this. :)

Today a small parcel with several thing I ordered at agnes b. arrived. (I didn't expect it today, because they hadn't sent and shipment info yet...)
So that was it:

And I'll be testing that stuff in the coming days. Not that I had actually time for things like this, but some procrastination... ;-)
First impression: The quality of agnes b. is really sinking... I must say I'm kind of dissappointed already. I hadn't ordered in quite a while and I'm not sure I will again.
So far I already tried out the light foundation, which supposedly should magically match my skin tone. Erm, well, no, it doesn't at all, mainly because my skin is not the tone of a very ripe orange. So I will send this one back.
I also considered sending back the shower gel, because it doesn't really smell like mint, as it's supposed to, but then I started to like the scent of it, so I'll be keeping it. And a soapfree shower gel is always something good.
The packaging of the eyeshadows has a really cheap feel to it. And the eyeshadows, too, look not as high quality as the last ones I ordered. (The last ones I had - and loved! - were "Made in Spain", these are "Made in Italy", so there definitely is a difference). I will try them out before I say more, though. It would be a shame if they weren't as good anymore. I really, really loved the old ones.

Oh, and the "gifts". I wish they wouldn't have sent these... honestly... a pen that looks like a lipstick? (What am I? Five? - lol, that just made me think of MI5... must watch these again!) And a really ugly and poorest quality double sided mirror... all made in China of course, which makes it even more tragic. Then there was an "XXL" cosmetics bag (which is okay and I might even use it to store stuff, but to call it XXL is just wrong, and all in all I would not have needed it), and then make up brushes, which are also okay, but still not as good as the cheap ones from the drug store.
So really, why sending that stuff? If you want to send a "gift", pick one minor of your own cosmetic or make up products and send that, don't send all this useless stuff. I'll be returning at least the mirror and the lipstick pen with the stuff I'll be sending back...

[Review] essence eyeshadow "02 dance all night" + "03 starlight"

hm,... da war ich im dm ganz hingerissen von den beiden Lidschatten.
Leider muss ich nach ein paar Testrunden trotz der wohlklingenden Namen sagen, dass die beiden nicht halten wie sie funkeln.

Es geht um die Lidschatten von essence aus der Reihe "sparkling effect" (das ist wohl keine offizielle Reihe, unterscheidet die Lidschatten aber von anderen in der gleichen Verpackung) in den Nuancen "02 dance all night sparkling effect" bzw. "03 starlight sparkling effect".
Die Tester in der Auslage und auch die Oberfläche der beiden Lidschatten-Döschen, die ich sahen wirklich sehr, sehr glimmerig aus. Die Tester waren auch beim Testen im Laden so, zumindest meinem Eindruck nach.
Sobald man aber mit dem Pinsel, Applikator oder auch Finger in die Döschen ging, wurde schon klar, dass die Glimmerpartikel anscheinend nur auf der Oberfläche waren.

(hier kann man schon sehen, dass an den Stellen, an denen ich mit Pinsel oder Applikator Produkt entnommen habe, die Glitzerpartikel deutlich weniger sind, und auch, dass der Lidschatten sehr bröslig ist)

Schade.
Wenn nun die Lidschatten selbst wenigstens gut gewesen wäre, wäre der fehlende Glimmer ja noch zu verschmerzen gewesen. Aber leider war es so, dass die Lidschatten beide kaum aufzutragen waren und sich dann auch auf dem Lid sofort verflüchtigt haben. Null Farbwirkung und der Rest der Glitzerpartikelchen hat sich überall im Gesichtverteilt, nur nicht da, wo das Produkt hätte landen sollen.
Ich habe diese beiden Lidschatten sowohl mit Pinsel, als auch mit Applikator ausprobiert. Mit Apllikator ging es noch einigermaßen, mit Pinsel ging gar nix. Auch mit und ohne Base auf dem Lid, was aber ohnehin kaum einen Unterschied gemacht hat, da ja so gut wie kein Produkt überhaupt ankam.

Nun ja. Das war leider nix und ich werde nun versuchen, die beiden Döschen zurückzugeben, denn diese Produkte haben mich wirklich enttäuscht.
(Aber ich habe gleichzeitig mit diesen beiden einen weiteren essence eyeshadow gekauft, allerdings aus der Reihe "metallic effect". Der war viel besser, lässt sich gut auftragen und hält auch recht ordentlich.)
